Our far right parties have been propagating against caring for the environment for many years. This time, unfortunately, ”tech bros”, Project 2025 and idiot leaders of the west have unfortunately let the far right gain wind.
This is even more depressing than the rest of climate fuck-up trends :(
one of the annoying things about the climate targets that i think should have been done better is that they’re sort of static year over year, which means they get harder and harder to attain. sweden, which is largely fossil-free energy wise, has to work a lot harder per unit to reduce emissions x amount than, say, the uk, or poland. the easy stuff is all done already.
the curve naturally flattens out close to the top, since going from 99 to 99.9 is possibly even harder than going from 90 to 99.
still not a reason to go backwards, but that’s what happens when you merge the posts for minister for climate and trade, and put a christofascist there.
