I’ve had a Keychron for a few years and loved it. Just recently the S key started misbehaving. My love for this keyboard grew immeasurably when I discovered you can just hot swap the switches without any special tools while waiting for some replacement switches to arrive. Plus the switches are super adorable at 30 for $10.
As a childless man, they will have to pry my work from home out of my cold, lots of free time having hands.
Ohh no. Please don’t destroy call centers. What will we do without them. Ohh the humanity.
I generally agree. My focus was on the “business model” side, where people act like the web exists only to serve business interests. The Web will be just fine, possibly even better, if some of these companies monetizing everything were to fail.
The Web was much better and more useful back before it had a business model. Good riddance.

Notepad is perhaps better known as a code editor than a word processor
How many insane people are using notepad for software development that it’s “better known” for that?
At a previous company, I got in trouble for fixing a bug because the company made a significant portion of their revenue from paid customer support fixing data related to the bug.
That’s an excellent point that I wasn’t considering. Thank you for explaining what I was missing.
I’m confused. If someone is in a place where they are choosing between dating a body pillow and suicide, then they have DEFINITELY made a wrong turn somewhere. They need some kind of assistance, and I hope they can get what they need, no matter what they choose.
I think my statement about “a wrong turn in life” is being interpreted too strongly; it wasn’t intended to be such a strong and absolute statement of failure. Someone who’s taken a wrong turn has simply made a mistake. It could be minor, it could be serious. I’m not saying their life is worthless. I’ve made a TON of wrong turns myself.
And that will be a good thing.
