That’s basically saying Samsung is shit.

Don’t agree. The ROM is great. But if you use it as is, fresh out the box? Yes it’s completely trash.

You literally have an OS you can do anything with in terms of visual UI customization, and 80% of you just…

    Rock stock.

Why the hell are you not using an iPhone? Changing shit is literally the ONLY 1-up Android has over Apple and nobody actually takes advantage of it.

    “I want stock Android”

    Lololol.

I’m just baffled how anyone uses a stock launcher on ANY version of Android, from ANY era, on ANY device.

I have not used a stock launcher of any Samsung phone ever in over 15 yrs because they are all shit. And if it’s not total shit, nxt yrs OS update will undoubtedly MAKE IT SHIT.

Rinse and repeat every year. God I feel sorry for you people. Having to have your settings erased and retrain your muscle memory every OS update. That isn’t “fun”. It isn’t “fresh”. It’s annoying AF.

TouchWiz going to ONEUI didn’t magically make me fall in love with it. Stock launchers are garbage, always have been. Especially with each subsequent update.

  • Laptop manufacturers are also looking to move away from windows to a linux bases operating system.

Lol. Good luck on that. Because for one, it’s not true at all. The general public is and has been brought up with Windows. Ignoring how incredibly difficult it is to get folks used to an OS, let’s take a moment to imagine how painful it would be to get people used to an OS that doesn’t hold your hand for you.

Linux has it’s place. But it will never replace Windows. Even if MS went backrupt and closed shop, Linux is not ever gonna be the next go-to OS.

Linux is doing what it’s always done.

It’s being amazing in it’s space as-is and it’s simply existing and being useful. Trying to push Linux onto the mainstream is never gonna happen without overhauling and changing what makes Linux amazing to begin with.

  • It’s 2025. Mobile operating systems have basically peaked at this point. These yearly OS updates offer nothing but change for the sake of change with very little in the way of actual use for the overwhelming majority of people.

I’m tired of having to re-train my muscle memory every year just because Android releases have become “events” for marketing instead of offering features that useful.

NEW ANDROID OS! ALL YOUR SETTINGS ARE CHANGED, HAVE FUN!!

  • Well that’s a issue, for sure.

I absolutely NEVER allow Google Play to just update my apps when it wants to. That’s insane. That would be constantly updating all day everyday. There is no need for daily software updates. There is no need for weekly updates. It’s borderline ridiculous.

One can argue “but muh security” all they like and go right ahead and do it if you need that validation in your life but when 10 apps are in que for an update 24/7 around the clock it’s almost suspicious.
