239 miles / 150 miles for big/small battery in angry eagle units.
Take what I said in the context it was said.
Yeah, you could power it up (maybe) with some backup batteries and a camping solar charger. Heck, even a cheap HAT screen would allow visual and touch access.
The point is that the knowledge therein is useless unless you are already fully prepared to make use of it. I’ve already covered that.
Note that I already said you’d have to have all the survival and power requirements in place before doomsday. Not waiting until doomsday to use this box as a tool to learn how to survive. IOW if you’re not already a prepped prepper, this box is pointless.
I’m not sure what you’re aiming for when you kinda proved my point.
You cited a youtube video, something that would be inaccessible during doomsday as a source of info, and the whole point is to have all the power supply and survival solutions in place before doomsday and the youtube video would be pointless.
Look, unless it’s a slow decline where you have some access to power and time to develop survival tools and skills to use this box it’s pointless as you’ve already developed the survival tools and skills. As an archive of other skills and knowledge it’s only as useful as the longevity of the storage media and the devices used to access it (monitor, keyboard, pi, etc).
Neat. I get the archived sites and docs as pretty useful and a good way to keep info that might be redacted or manipulated by a fascist government, but I gotta question the use of this technological medium to save information as useful during a “doomsday” situation.
If you’re in an actual doomsday situation, that means odds are utilities like water and power are intermittent or nonexistent, this box will be useless unless you have already spent the time and effort to install and maintain an off-grid power solution to use this device.
So essentially a gimmick. However, I can’t argue with the preservation of knowledge in an effort to reference it when bad actors change what is publicly available.
E: I think people are missing my point. I said you’d need to be prepared to use this device in a doomsday situation, as in, “already spent the time and effort to install and maintain an off-grid power solution…”
But for some reason people are telling me “well if you’ve already got a power setup…” when I stated not having the means to utilize this device it’s pointless. Telling me what I already said? C’mon, people. No need to reiterste my solutions and contradict conditions I stated to make yourself right.
You’d also already have to have all the tools, seeds, plants, material, equipment and supplies to make or farm and a community to implement the knowledge saved on the device. Maintaining the trappings of civilization in a doomsday situation is all but impossible solo, and a shitload of work for a community. You don’t put this box in a closet and when the power goes out permanently and your gas generator kicks on you decide it’s time to learn how to survive. IOW it’s useless unless you’re already prepped.
Bullshit.
FSD is getting people killed and somehow this same car will get any kind of “ok” to solo drive to someone’s home from the factory?
More promises by Muskrat that aren’t gonna happen.
Probably have a sales rep in the car to monitor the drive.
Someone’s been living in a cave.
Start linking up 4chan IDs to real rich people like Musk or republican officials and watch trump start calling for the death penalty for the hacker.
Enjoy importing all the parts with the tariffs!
Because actual presentation of analytical and practical AI here is rare. AI conducting analysis of medical imaging to catch tumors early isn’t something we discuss very much, for example.
What we do get is the marketing hype, AI images, crappy AI search results, ridiculous investment in AI to get rid of human workers, AI’s wasteful power requirements, and everything else under the sun with corporations basically trying to make a buck off AI while screwing over workers. This is the AI we see day to day. Not the ones making interesting and useful scientific discoveries.
Europe has had the ability to change one’s station in life - what people might equate to the “American Dream” - for a long time now, and has had it better than America has. You can go from poor to a middle class life more easily. However going from rags-to-riches is far more rare. Unfortunately, here in America we’ve equated the Dream and Freedom to mean going from middle class to Fuck You Money, having a personal arsenal, and breaking every social contract we possibly can. The only ones trotting out The American Dream ™️ as still existing are politicians and the people fighting any restrictions on getting richer while the rest of us are crabs in a bucket all stepping on each other trying to keep from drowning. Now, with trump, we have the basic Constitution under attack and what few freedoms that guaranteed we had left being eroded. Well, except 2A, but he’ll get to that eventually.
Yeah, Europe has absolutely been “free-er” and better in multiple ways for a long while now. The only reason most Americans don’t understand this is because guns and chasing fuck you money.
Republicans pick winners and losers in their misanthropic hierarchy. Now they own the government, so the government is them.
Probably because elite schools have smaller class sizes or teacher/student ratios thereby making it less necessary to have the ability to disseminate information via mass means with technology. Put it all up on a big screen where 30 kids can see it, send the assignments out to 120 kids via google classroom on school issued chromebooks (because there are plenty of kids from families that cannot afford computers), and do all the grading and review digitally. I’d be willing to bet those expensive private schools use plenty of tech, maybe kids carry Macbook Airs instead, but there’s no escape from tech in schools.
I wonder if this would improve suspend or sleep features on devices. Last state is held in memory, ready to go.
We’ve lost bombs on our own soil. Still haven’t found them.
You really picked random negatives from a bunch of different decades?
Gotta get rid of the evidence.
I’m not a fan of vigilantism or mob justice save for the removal of objectively destructive and tyrannical leadership. Too many ways to get it wrong.
Ah, catch a predator style. Gotcha. Removed my comment because it was wrong. So far anyway.
If you have to tell deliberate lies to influence people then that isn’t democracy. That’s fascism or at least a kakistocracy - the worst and stupidest rule because they can’t get elected otherwise. Fuck twisting the First Amendment into a tool of lies and corruption.
