Ok so now that Hungary is out and open and proud about wanting to destroy the EU from within, the EU is going to do something about it right? Right?

Hollywood five years from now when they’ve milked this to death and have to try come up with original and creative ideas again: “Please save us! We’re in ruins!” And just like with the MCU, all of the people that were happy to cash out when these video game movies were at peak popularity will be blaming video game movies for being the death of cinema and art the moment one movie performs poorly.

Haha that looks great, going to have to check it out. It’s a little disappointing to see that there’s no cyborgs in it though. On that note, I was also going to mention the movie Cyborg because there’s a director’s cut called Slinger that makes it clear that JVCD did miracle work salvaging it for the theatrical cut of Cyborg lol.

Dunno if it counts but I’m a sucker for Jean Claude van Damme movies. And the only others I can think of off the top of my head are a couple of Albert Pyuun movies called Omega Doom and Knights, really bad sci-fi flicks. I actually need to save this thread for future watching material.

Yeah, personally I think that something that’s playing a big part in the rise of the right wing is that the current powers that be seem to be completely spineless. And happy to make certain institutions like the EU or even UN look like a bit of a joke or hypocrites. The longer they keep Hungary around making the ‘values’ of the EU look like they’re just suggestions, the harder it is to convince some podcast hooked kid not to support and vote for the people that want to tear the whole thing down.

And the same goes for Palestine, as contentious as the issue is. When the whole culture that you’ve cultivated back home for the last couple of decades is one of tolerance and peace and justice, then not only sit back and let something like the Palestine situation happen but start threatening and deporting the children that you taught to care for speaking out about it, then why should anyone believe a word you say anymore. Especially young people who are looking for something to believe in.

Our leaders fucking suck across the globe, actually. Just carrying on like it’s just another day and the idiots aren’t slowly taking over.

Wake me up when something gets done about it other than a fine that amounts to about half a day’s profit for them.

I think that the rest of us all around the world need to watch ourselves instead of continuously pointing and laughing at the USA. The far right is doing pretty well in Europe, even in Germany. And I’m sure there’s there’s more than one house where you’ll find grandpa or great grandpa’s nazi uniform still in storage, seeing as that was still less than 100 years ago.

We’ve all got the racist uncle. That was something to also joke about in the USA not long ago until all the racist uncles got together and were joined by the racist parents and sons and daughters.

None of us is currently safe from the christian nationalist hatemongers taking over because the christian nationalist hatemongers walk among us in even bigger numbers than we previously thought.

Yeah this is one movie that I’m definitely ignoring any (early) reviews and shit for until I’ve actually seen it for myself. Besides the fact that a lot of people are just tired of superhero stuff, the Snyder people are going to look for any and every reason to find fault with this, and I have a feeling that we can expect nonsense from anti woke people too (although that’s a given for basically anything at this point).

There’s too much extra bullshit in the airways poisoning entertainment in general right now. So even though I’ve always been inclined to ignore reviews, now more than ever the only opinion that I’m going to trust is my own.

Damn, that definitely looks very cool. Probably expensive too lol. But exactly what these touchscreen phones need.

Especially for gaming. My old Nokia N81 kicked this rectangular piece of glass’s ass when it comes to gaming because I could actually comfortably play games that weren’t turn based and didn’t need to slap an overlay onto the screen.
