I’m a fan. I’m looking forward to the third movie. I don’t get the hate. You don’t like it, you don’t watch it - you’re obviously not the target group. I don’t go to discussions about films I don’t like just to say I hate them. I also don’t think just because I and my bubble don’t like something that automatically means noone does. I don’t get this approach.
But not like that, please, there are usually other options.
I agree, but that doesn’t change anything, right? Even if you are in the 2% most intelligent and you’re somehow immune, you still have to live with the rest who do get influenced by AI. And they vote. So it’s never just a they problem.
If an artist is an evil asshole, I don’t support them anymore. I may still think their art is good, but I don’t buy from them, because I don’t want to support them financially and I also don’t want to spread their twisted message and normalize their behaviour. I don’t want to be connected with their evilness in any way. So separating art from the artist is possible for me only in some cases of artists that are long dead and that I think can do no more harm.
That’s not the same as just letting an LLM to halucinate a whole article from nothing - which it sounds like when you say it was written by AI. LLMs are not a bad tool for translations, they have to be checked well though. Working with a language is the one thing they can actually do - unlike giving real answers.
No, they were not. AI was probably used for translation.
Do go for the shitty admins with no mercy though. We don’t need Wiki to slowly rot from the inside.
A society that does not accept the blame of not being able to curb the pressure of foreign propaganda also has no hope.
Boycotts are not enough, but in combination with girlcotts they are very efficient.
I’ll see myself out.
I don’t think it knows the full sentence, it just doesn’t search for the words in the order they will be in the sentence. It finds the end-words first to make the poem rhyme, than looks for the rest of the words. I do it this way as well just like many other people trying to create any kind of rhyming text.
She’s mostly asking her coworkers to speak up.
I don’t think it works like that. Many top politicians crumble under much less stress, especially those trying to be on the right side of history.
That probably depends on where you live and what’s your job. For many people it’s impossible to get up after the sun rises anyway, if they want to be at work on time. I can imagine it could be locally advantageous though.
I think that would be as hard to achive as the abolition of time changes, maybe harder. I can already see all the emotions that would stir, the irrational fears of being more tired, the hatred of change in general… It could happen, but I don’t think it’s the easier way.
But solving the problem first would make us keep changing the time twice a year for a much longer time. I suggest getting rid of time changes first.
Most young children do need to be walked to school, or pre-school, if you will, and not just that - parents need to make sure that they had a proper breakfest, that they got dressed well, that they brushed their teeth, that door must be locked properly, the lights turned off… Young children are still learning basic things each in their own pace, and although they can often do a lot by themselves, they cannot be relied on completely - the parents are the ones with the responsibility. They cannot just leave and let their pre-shool or young school child take care of everything.
Yes, everyone has their preferences and it’s anoying if you’re not in the prefered group. If one group is much larger, I think it’s good to consider their needs a bit more though in this particular case. It’s also healthy to discuss compromises, which do exist even in this case.
The matter can also be much more complicated than just one prefers this and one prefers the other - I think we’re just scratching the surface. I’m not sure about all the sociological, psychological and economic implications.
I prefer the summer time myself, but I’d happily support any winter time iniciative if it seemed like it was getting traction, because I just hate the time changes so much.
I’m from Europe. I don’t know any completely apolitical people, really. Everyone has heard of some political topic and most of the topics make people feel strong emotions, based on which they form their opinions. In my country, the people from group 2 are not organized by themselves, but they are being successfully manipulated by rich populists. They are the majority and they are the group you need to win over to win any elections.
Yep, in many cases that could be a major improvement.
