Beam steering largely mitigates most of these problems. Fiber is definitely more scalable, but also far more expensive (somehow…) to provide last mile to the entire planet.
I started lemdro.id. Pretty cool domain name, right?

You seem to know a lot about these limits, can you elaborate?
I don’t think there are actual physics limitations on network capacity right now
Second Valetudo. I’ve used it for years now on a Dreame L10 Pro. Thinking about upgrading to something with mopping capabilities but Valetudo support is a requirement for me from now on!
it’s not hard, I’ve done it
There’s the rub :/
I’m waiting too dude, I’m waiting too
You can technically put PostmarketOS on a wide variety of devices, but it isn’t a “pure” Linux experience, since it is using the same proprietary blobs as the vendor to get all the hardware working.
Depends how anal you want to be
fyi, geometric weather got forked to become breezy weather: https://github.com/breezy-weather/breezy-weather
This actually is quite fuzzy and depends on your country and even jurisdiction in your country
yeah I’m worried about that. I like Pixel phones a lot because of their cameras. Everyone who ends up focusing on one thing ends up eschewing the camera much to my chagrin
yeah I don’t think I will buy the Pixel 10 unless GrapheneOS supports it
categorically false. literally do a little bit of research. it is stored on-device entirely now, and Google has no access to it.

You’re looking for a “gotcha” here but my whole point is that people are judging SpaceX entirely on Elon being involved, rather than it’s actual merits.
My opinion shouldn’t matter here.
Please read a bit about Gwynne Shotwell. She’s amazing and runs the company very competently.
SpaceX ≠ Elon Musk
I think it’s not fair to say that iteration doesn’t ever include any steps back. Development isn’t always straightforward and it doesn’t always go perfectly.
repeating the same thing does not make your point stronger
This is not evidence to the contrary, especially when the company is intentionally trying to find the limits on a development article.
Falcon 9 (the only rocket they actually sell launches on) is one of the most reliable launch vehicles in the world.
Yes, with the current network this is true. I guess it feels like you’re discounting the future growth of the constellation
