That port changing stuff is way outdated and hasn’t been effective for a long time.

Just like opting out of using a Microsoft account to log into windows, the grips will get tighter and tighter over time until you are forced to use butt hole ID to unlock your screen.
And a whole bunch of other shit.
Seems easy to do, just ask everyone to boot a new Linux install when they want to use some service.

Can’t wait for windows recall to leverage AI to automatically report you to police because of things you’ve done on your computer or some other dystopian shit.
I do not see a conflict of interest. 🙈
Got told the same thing about systems administration 20 years ago. I struggled in my initial years.
Roku is terrible too though. Their data collection is bad and they’ve started tightening their grip on some things.
And now Amazon will have more data points on you to sell to advertisers.
Also fuck Amazon.
Watched something on YouTube on my TV for the first time last week. Never again. 12 minute video had like 6 or 8 ads, 2-3 were 30 seconds. Fuck. That.
Unfortunately jellyfin is still kinda shit by comparison. I use both in tandem. You’re right though, Plex is rapidly turning shittier
Good to know, but I will never sign into windows with an MS account at home. Fuck everything about this. It’s either old build or 11 or still use 10 for the games I like, or I use Linux. Use that primarily as it is anyways.
Man it must suck to set up a computer now on restricted networks.
If I need to buy now pay later for door dash, I’ll quit ordering food because clearly I can’t afford it.
I use Joplin and OneNote, on an MS Surface. OneNote handles hand writing great, but it’s also just a notes app that works great with typing and pictures and everything.
Brother. The end.
Oh BROTHER, not this again.
On a more serious note, I’ve been all about brother printers for a few years now and couldn’t be happier.
New USD prices as of April 29, 2025 will be:
Monthly: $6.99
Yearly: $69.99
Lifetime: $249.99
Oof I paid $75 in 2013 for lifetime lol.
Recall next, please
I also think Plex probably has open vulns and it’s also a more known target. The nail that sticks out furthest gets nailed down.
