The “major shift” will be outlasting Putin. That just one old man vs an entire country.

Yes
Then Ukraine will fight to the end. Simple as that.
Is there a requirement for big brother data tracking over there?
To me, it suffered the same issue that all reboots have (Jurassic World, Rise of Skywalkwer, etc.). They don’t attempt a new plot and instead try to rehash the original plot but “bigger”, this makes it boring really quick as you know what’s going on, so instead they rely on nostalgia bait or jump tactics to try to keep you engaged.
This explains it well. Think of it as the “Rogue One” treatment. You know it’s the originals, contains the original story, just looks amazingly crisp and modern. And he did an amazing job with the color correction.
I honestly prefer the Despecialized Editions. Though I’m glad both exist as a way to try to restore our past.
I love my Elite but I think it’s absolutely stupid that I have to connect to one of their servers in order to change activities and buttons. There is literally zero reason for that. You could easily have an app that connects locally to the device and can do it there. I could see needing their service if you want to download new remote profiles but that should be it.
The internet was simultaneously the best and worst thing for humanity.
So what defines a “foreign” car? BMW builds the X3 in South Carolina and VW builds their SUVs in Tennessee. However Ford builds the Bronco in Mexico. So which one will be tariffed?
If you’re not visiting, you’re not part of this chart and thus won’t have an impact.
That’s a non-sequeter. You started by saying that internet on cars were bad and then switched to “you should be using bikes”
I think I mentioned it in another post but Schwaticars are a bit different. Though I’d assume they’d have to have some basic functionality in the event of an outage. “Always on” hasn’t come to cars… yet
Again though, they are all quality of life things. You don’t have to use it on most cars. Don’t want it, don’t pay for it and don’t use it. So just like giving people the choice of AA/CP, what’s wrong with giving them the choice of using those features?
I mean, what’s the alternative? It’s not like it has to have internet. Anything internet connected is mainly quality of life:
Except maybe Teslas, damned if I know what they do. But they’re nice to have things that generally require realtime updates but the car functions just fine as a car without it.
Yeah I’ve used the Audi one and it sucks. Especially traffic, so many missing streets and odd routing.
Frankly CarPlay and Android Auto suck in my opinion compared to iDrive 7 on my BMW.
But… that being said, I do support choice. I wouldn’t even consider a car that doesn’t allow CP/AA as I think it should be up to the consumer to pick which one they want to use.
Something else that people don’t think about besides the backend server is the connectivity. A lot of these cars use LTE with eSIMs that can’t be replaced, and getting an internet package for it will be next to impossible since Tesla gets them at bulk rates. Once upon a time cars did allow “bring your own SIM cards” but not anymore. Also as cars get older the cell networks get shut down. Some companies did offer upgrades but that was few and far between. Most just said “sorry, you’re SOL”.
So even if you could hack your car, your car won’t have any way of talking to a custom endpoint.
Need any IT?
Quickest way to get Trump in a black suit is to start calling him “poor” and note that he doesn’t have a big enough entourage or money to also have a black suit. Reverse psychology works well on him and comparing him to others.
