The Inkscape tutorials are included in Inkscape’s standard help menu and particularly cool… Because they’re actually all Inkscape documents.
So when the tutorial can just tell you to click and rotate the rectangle just below and you can just do that.
That’s pretty neat, and it’s a pity that it just isn’t possible or as easy in other kinds of programs.
As another poor maladjusted soul who still often calla LibreOffice “OpenOffice”, you have my complete sympathy.
They can read them, obviously, but this way they are stored in an encrypted format in case of breaches or warrants.

Honestly I think I maybe like FUTO better than Gboard. Maybe I’ve been using Heliboard too long and FUTO feels like such an upgrade…
I think both Heliboard and the FUTO keyboard should work well for you. The FUTO keyboard just works noticeably better, and also has its own voice input.
Both support multilingual typing, so in can also scrivere un po’ in Italiano, oder auch ein bisschen Deutsch, without even switching the keyboard’s language.
FUTO is a US based organisation, but I don’t care and maybe neither should you. Their keyeboard is open source and is so private that it does not even require an internet permission (Which even becomes slightly annoying when you have to download extra dictionaries by hand).

Well, Proton tries as best as they can, but they are not above the law.
They retain as little information as possible, but in the end when the authority come knocking best they can do is appeal, but in the end they can’t refuse to hand that over.
Privacy does not exist in absolute, but only in relation to a threat model. If your threat model includes state actors coming after you, you should avoid leaving them your billing information, so pay with bitcoin or cash by mail.
If, like most of us here, your threat model includes mainly surveillance capitalism, then using a credit card is fine.

There is a way of knowing that. You can choose from a variety of open source apps that just don’t contain tracking code.
No stealing your address book, no logging your GPS position, no snooping on your list of installed apps, no profiling your scrolling speed and which post you spend more seconds reading.
For the server part, the upstream code io open source and has no ad-trackers of that kind. Since you get to pick your instance you have a chance of hopefully going with one you trust not to have added them in afterwards.
Your data isn’t limited to your toots though.
Mastodon isn’t profiling your clicks, how long you spend reading each post, your DMs, your geolocation, your IP, stealing the addressbook from your phone, forcing you to use the app to steal more data, checking what other apps you have installed, track you around all the internet, and all the other toxic profiling bullshit that big tech social media does to beef up your advertisement profile.
Yeah, but in many kinds of applications you simply can’t easily build a file that seamlessly combines documentation and content.
When it’s possible, it’s truly the most awesome way to implement a tutorial.
