TLDR: what is recommended due to our complete US IT dependecies is: ○ Our administration uses software and hardware that we ( should fully) control. ○ Some data and processing simply cannot be dependent on foreign infra. ○ Health, Law, energy, transport… Critical stuff should be isolated from this mode of failure. ○ Important documents must always be accessible offline The article introduces the situation, the why’s and dangers and gives us recommendations as how to reduce this critical dependency .
